They also provide assistance in cases of emergency, in searching for family members, in succession proceedings abroad and in repatriating remains. To access up-to-date information on the main services provided by the diplomatic-consular network, visit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/en\/servizi-opportunita\/italiani-all-estero\/\">Services to Italians abroad \u2013 Ministero degli Affari Esteri e della Cooperazione Internazionale<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>ACCESS TO CONSULAR SERVICES<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Consular services at the Embassy are available <strong>by appointment only<\/strong>. Appointments must be booked online <strong>through the link <a href=\"https:\/\/prenotami.esteri.it\/\">https:\/\/prenotami.esteri.it\/<\/a><\/strong>. Visitors without an appointment will therefore not be admitted to the Consular Section.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Appointments must be booked <strong>personally by the applicant<\/strong> using their own personal email address. Appointments made through agencies or intermediaries, or using temporary\/disposable email addresses, will be cancelled.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Once logged into the Prenot@mi portal, applicants can select the appropriate service category (identity and travel documents, registry and civil status, notarial services, pensions) and choose an available date and time. For any service not specifically listed in the drop-down menu, please select \u201cConsular Services\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">New appointment slots are released periodically, usually on a weekly or monthly basis. If no appointments are currently available for the required service, please wait a few days and try again. Please do not book an appointment under a different service category from the one you actually require.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Appointments for document legalization services must be booked <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">exclusively<\/span> through VFS Global<\/strong>, the Embassy\u2019s external service provider, and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>not<\/strong><\/span> directly with the Embassy.
