For further information on the payment of pensions abroad, please visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.inps.it\/\">INSP website<\/a> or contact INPS directly, including through a <em>Patronato<\/em> (social assistance institution).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>PAYMENT METHODS<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pensions are paid to beneficiaries residing abroad on a monthly basis by direct deposit into the pensioner\u2019s bank account.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pensions below the threshold established by the applicable legislation are instead paid every six months, in accordance with the same arrangements applicable to pensioners residing in Italy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>PROOF OF LIFE VERIFICATION<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The bank responsible for pension payments is required to verify annually that the pensioner is alive, as well as the pensioner\u2019s domicile or residential address and any income received abroad.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Under the procedure agreed between INPS and Citibank for proof-of-life verification, pensioners receive a \u201cLife Certificate Form\u201d (\u201cModulo di Certificazione di Esistenza in Vita\u201d) at their home address.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Once the form has been completed, the pensioner must sign it and have their signature authenticated by the Italian Consular Office or by a public official authorized to do so under the laws of the country of residence.
