To highlight the bond of friendship with Sri Lanka, the Embassy organized a concert in the historic Dutch Reformed church of Galle, a loction included in the list of UNESCO world heritage sites. The concert, performed by the “Gustav Mahler Society” Philharmonic of Colombo, was honored by the participation of the Minister of Education Susil Premajayantha. The event was organized with the collaboration of a few local partners: the UNESCO Commission for Sri Lanka, SriLankan Airlines, Hilton Residencies Colombo and saw the performance of a program of Italian music, including a modern composition by the Italian author Nicolò Faraci, “On the wings of music”. The magnificent venue of the Dutch church, which dates back to the 17th century, was crowded with a large number of people who greatly enjoyed the music and the ambience.
