Ambassador Francovigh met last Tuesday Minister Wijitha Herath. In the occasion, all aspects of bilateral cooperation were reviewed and the Minister confirmed the approval by the Sri Lankan Government of the text of a Memorandum of Understanding on the Establishment of a Political Consultations Mechanism between Sri Lanka and Italy. The MoU, once signed, will allow the two Countries to strengthen their bilateral partnership.
