On 10 February, as every year, the ‘Day of Remembrance’ was celebrated, an anniversary established to commemorate the victims of the foibe and the Julian-Dalmatian exodus.
The official ceremony was held at the Quirinale Palace, in the presence of the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella. A significant moment to renew the memory of a tragedy that marked the history of the Italian eastern border after World War II.
Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani took part in the celebrations, emphasizing the Government’s commitment to keeping the memory of these events alive.
