On 10 June, the Embassy of Italy in Sri Lanka and Maldives inaugurated the photographic exhibition “Rhythms of the Islands: Sardinia & Sri Lanka” at Radicle Gallery, featuring the work of Italian photographer Dario Coletti.
The exhibition explores similarities and differences between Sardinia and Sri Lanka through images portraying everyday life, cultural traditions, and the spiritual dimensions of the two islands. The photographic journey offers a unique perspective on these geographically distant realities, highlighting both their affinities and their distinctive characteristics.
The initiative is part of the Embassy’s cultural promotion activities and also serves as an opportunity to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the opening of the Italian Embassy in Colombo, reaffirming the longstanding ties of friendship and cooperation between Italy and Sri Lanka.
